Community Needs
We believe that our mission will help to address critical needs in our community, such as school-aged engagement, graduation rates, labor force participation, and the health of older adults. In facilitating access to top training programs and quality supplies at no or low cost, it is our goal to make safety awareness, life-saving skills, and emergency readiness ubiquitous in our community, thus making it safer and prone to ever-improving health outcomes.
We believe it is important to see what life is like from the perspective of our local residents. We can be proud of our thriving economy and growth, but at the same time many marginalized populations are experiencing worsening outcomes in health and education. As Greenville is growing increasingly diverse, our solutions to help improve the lives of our residents must also take into account the cultural needs of our communities. We believe that by equipping strategic populations with life-saving knowledge and skills, we can help improve lives and make our communities safer. So what’s our strategy for addressing these Community Needs? The 500 Foundation’s Community Outreach Events are designed with Community Needs in mind. We are launching our Foundation this Summer 2023 with the following (links on titles):

-Free First Aid training for 500+ Kids this summer (Module A).
-Free First Aid Certifications for kids and young adults who complete the Blended Learning Training and pass the Skills Assessments (Module B).
-Free CPR/AED & First Aid Certifications for Community Workers, Staff, and Volunteers (Module C).
