5KP Launch @ Northside Park
The 500 Kids Project is providing free First Aid Classes for kids this summer, and we are partnering with United Way Greenville’s Hands on Greenville Day for our Launch Event at Northside Park, which is near Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville.
The mission of the 500 Kids Project is to provide 500+ Kids First Aid training free of charge at our Events this Summer, 2023 in target neighborhoods. There will also be free First Aid certificate classes for kids available through Blended Learning, where students will be issued their online portion to complete before the Skills Checkoffs, which occur at all of our 500 Kids Events.
Courses:
Module A: First Aid & Safety for Kids (with Participation Award). This course is available at our Saturday Community Events. Cost: Free! Sign Up Below.
Module B: Blended Learning First Aid Class (with Certification). Online portion issued to student to complete before the Skills Assessment, which is completed with an instructor at one of our events this summer! Certification issued upon completion of Skills Assessment. Cost: Free! Sign Up Below.
Module C: Community Workers CPR & First Aid - Certification Blended Learning Course. This is a free Certification Course offered to Community Workers, Staff, and Volunteers. Online portion issued to student to be completed before the Skills Assessment, which is completed with an instructor at one of our events this summer!

Frequently Asked Questions Answered:
Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all events, and children must be registered to attend our events.
Families with multiple children are welcome! Please register each child separately, and follow the instructions and list the parent/guardian as the emergency contact.
If you are a Community Worker, Staff, or Volunteer, you qualify for The 500 Foundation: Module C; go ahead and sign up there and follow the instructions.
If you would like a free CPR & First Aid certification (or re-certification; whatever certifications Perennial Safety is offering are available; i.e., Childcare, BLS, etc) but you are not a Community Worker, you may sign up as a Volunteer for our Launch Day on May 6 at Northside Park on our United Way Hands on Greenville Page (link below) to qualify for Module C & a free T-shirt.
Can parents and unregistered younger siblings attend with registered children?
-Absolutely! As long as parents are present with unregistered children, they may also attend. But we believe even the youngest children can benefit from being present at the event, so you may go ahead and register the younger ones too.
