We at The 500 Foundation are teaming up with Greenville Technical College’s Health Sciences for the iMAGINE Upstate STEAM Festival: A Celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics for Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg Counties.
**We are looking for Volunteers who are Healthcare Professionals. Volunteer registration will open soon via our United Way Greenville County Volunteer Portal.
The iMAGINE STEAM Festivals are designed to showcase PreK-12 education and career pathways in Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEAM) through fun, hands-on learning for families. The festival is a highly visible street festival that engages companies, schools, and nonprofits in providing exciting, interactive STEAM learning exhibits for PreK-12 students and their families. The purpose of the festival is to ignite the interest of students in STEAM learning and career pathways.
Community Needs
We believe our mission will help to address critical needs in our community like emergency readiness, school-aged engagement, graduation rates, labor force participation, and the health of older adults. In facilitating access to top training programs and quality supplies at no or low cost, it is our goal to make safety awareness, life-saving skills, and emergency readiness ubiquitous in our community, thus making it safer and prone to ever-improving health outcomes…

12 First Aid Cabinets for 12 Greenville Community Centers
There are 12 total Greenville Community Centers:
Greenville County: Brutontown, Berea (Senior Action), Freetown, Mt Pleasant, Slater Hall, Staunton Bridge, Sterling, Phillis Wheatley
Greenville City: Nicholtown, West Greenville, David Hellams, Bobby Pearce.
This is a fundraiser to purchase 12 newly stocked three-shelf OSHA/ANSI First Aid Cabinets (~$169/each) for each Community Center.
100% of the donations to this fundraiser will fund purchasing, delivering, and installing them.
“Our mission is to resource strategic local populations with life-saving knowledge, skills, and supplies to foster safety, situational awareness, and emergency readiness in our communities.”
The 500 Foundation is a Nonprofit Organization in Greenville, SC that provides First Aid and other Medical Safety Training & Supplies for Community Workers, Staff, Volunteers, School-aged Children, Young Adults, At-risk Populations, Elder-aged, and other Need-based Populations.
